Christian Beliefs 101

Welcome to Christian Beliefs 101 – The Basics of Christianity

Searching for an answer to a simple question relating to the Bible can sometimes be a quite difficult task. Either the answer is buried in pages or paragraphs of unnecessary and irrelevant information or hidden in one sentence in some lengthy YouTube video. What we have tried to do here is to make the questions simple, singular, and direct, and the answers the same. There may be a longer explanation after the answer is given. But you don’t have to read through or listen to a lengthy explanation for a one simple sentence answer. Remember your opinion and my opinion on any subject in the Bible is completely irrelevant. What does the Bible say about the subject? Once you have that information then you have the tools to make an informed decision. There are thousands of articles on any subject you can think of with just as many opinions either for or against. You have to make the decision. At least get the information from both sides before you decide. Then, at the least, you have a qualified opinion. Otherwise all you have is a bunch of chatter. And the Church is filled with those that chatter, in the pulpit and in the cheap seats. Oh, and by the way, you have the same Holy Spirit that Jesus did to help you!

DISCLAIMER: The information found on this website is not intended to be judgmental, though it comes across that way sometimes. I was looking for more informative. I, like many Christians, believe that I have made more mistakes than most. Some big, some small, but plenty of them. The information on this site contains opinions on topics that I wish I had heard and listened to when I was growing up. Maybe my mistakes would have been fewer. In reality though, I know that the Devil would still have been there, trying to kill, steal, or destroy. I think of myself as a Thomas Edison of Christianity. When questioned about why he had failed at creating a lightbulb over 10,000 times, Edison replied that he hadn’t failed those 10,000 time but merely found 10,000 ways how not to make a lightbulb. Like Edison I didn’t fail 10,000 times trying to serve the Lord, but I found 10,000 ways how not to serve God. That means that I didn’t give up; just a little off-track at times.
